Pickup Policy
At Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet, we offer structured in-store pickup for customers across Halifax and surrounding areas who prefer to collect their items instead of delivery. Our pickup process is designed to ensure accuracy, product condition verification, and a smooth documented handoff so customers know exactly what to expect at pickup.
Eligibility and Requirements
To pick up an order, customers must provide their original sales invoice and a valid government-issued photo ID. Pickup is available for in-stock items only and must be confirmed by our team before arrival.
Online Order Pickup Verification
For online orders selected for in-store pickup, the original purchaser must be present at pickup. A valid government-issued photo ID is required and the full name on the ID must match the name on the invoice and online order. A copy of the order confirmation or invoice must be provided.
Pickup will not be released to third parties, friends, family members, or drivers unless explicitly authorized in writing at the time of purchase and approved in advance by Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet. These verification steps are required to prevent fraud, protect customer purchases, and ensure accurate order release. Orders that do not meet these requirements may be held until proper verification is provided.
Same-Day Pickup Timing
For same-day pickups, please allow approximately 30 minutes after confirmation for order preparation. This time is required to verify item availability, prepare and finalize the invoice, print and organize the packing slip, and retrieve and stage the item for pickup. Pickup timing may vary slightly based on store volume and item location.
Pickup Process
When you arrive for pickup, our team will verify your invoice and photo ID. Items are brought out for your inspection so you can confirm the correct product, new condition, and no visible damage. You will sign the packing slip to confirm receipt and acceptance. For internal records, photo confirmation of the handed-off items is completed. This process ensures transparency, accuracy, and proper documentation for both you and our team.
Loading and Transportation Responsibility
Customers are fully responsible for loading, securing, and transporting their items. Staff do not load vehicles under any circumstance. Please ensure your vehicle is appropriate for the size and weight of the items. Any damage that occurs during loading or transport including weather-related damage is the customer's responsibility. If you are unsure whether your vehicle can accommodate your items, our team is happy to advise you before your pickup day or at the time of pickup in person. Call 902 406 3939 or ask us when you arrive and we will help you plan accordingly.
Final Inspection and Acceptance
All items must be inspected before leaving the premises. Once the item leaves the store, the pickup is considered accepted in full. No damage claims will be accepted after pickup. Any damage identified after departure will be treated as Final Sale.
Important Notes
Pickup orders are subject to availability and confirmation. Large or oversized items may require additional preparation time. Failure to bring required documentation may delay or prevent pickup.
