Our Approach to Rugs & Carpets

At Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet, we offer rugs and carpets selected to complement modern homes with style, comfort, and everyday practicality. As a locally operated furniture and mattress store, our approach is focused on helping customers make informed decisions before purchase, with clear expectations around care, use, and product characteristics.

Rugs and carpets are decorative textile products designed for residential use. Because they are subject to natural variations in materials, construction, and wear once used, we place a strong emphasis on pre-purchase inspection, proper care, and accurate sizing to ensure long-term satisfaction.

We encourage customers to view rugs in person whenever possible, carefully review product details, and measure their space before purchasing. This helps ensure the rug or carpet fits the intended room, layout, and lifestyle needs.

Our rugs and carpets policy is designed to be transparent and consistent, clearly outlining final sale terms, normal product characteristics, delivery inspection requirements, and manufacturer warranty information where applicable. This approach allows us to serve our local customers fairly while maintaining product quality and hygiene standards.

All rugs and carpets sold by Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet are intended for residential decorative use.

Due to the nature of textile floor coverings, rugs and carpets are subject to normal variations and wear once used.

Final Sale Status

All rugs and carpets are Final Sale and are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or Comfort Trial once delivered or picked up.

Customers are encouraged to inspect rugs carefully before completing their purchase and are responsible for measuring their space to ensure proper fit before ordering.


Product Characteristics (Not Defects)

The following are considered normal characteristics of rugs and carpets and do not qualify as defects:

  • Shedding or fiber loss

  • Color variation or pattern differences

  • Texture variation or pile direction changes

  • Flattening or wear from foot traffic

  • Size variation within manufacturing tolerances

  • Odor from packaging or storage that dissipates with ventilation


Damage & Care Exclusions

Rugs and carpets are not covered for damage caused by:

  • Pets (stains, chewing, scratching, odors)

  • Spills, moisture, or improper cleaning

  • Vacuum damage or use of incorrect cleaning equipment

  • Sun fading or heat exposure

  • Improper placement or use


Manufacturer Warranty (If Applicable)

Some rug brands may include a limited manufacturer warranty covering manufacturing defects only.

If a manufacturer warranty is provided, it applies directly between the customer and the manufacturer and is subject to the manufacturer’s terms and approval.

Furniture Spot does not administer, submit, or manage manufacturer warranty claims for rugs or carpets.


Reporting Issues at Delivery

If a rug arrives damaged or incorrect:

  • Issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or pickup

  • Clear photos and invoice details must be emailed to

  • Issues reported after use, placement, or removal from packaging may not be accepted
