Furniture Care & Warranty

At Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet, we offer furniture selected for everyday residential use, balancing durability, comfort, and value for modern homes. Our approach focuses on helping customers understand how to care for their furniture and what to expect from warranty coverage before and after purchase.

Furniture is designed to perform under normal household use. Proper care, correct assembly, and appropriate placement play an important role in long-term performance. We encourage customers to review care instructions, confirm proper fit and placement, and understand warranty coverage at the time of purchase.

Furniture Care Standards

Proper care is required to maintain the condition of your furniture and preserve warranty eligibility. Furniture is designed for residential use under normal conditions. Damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, or lack of care is not considered a defect.

To maintain your furniture properly, follow all manufacturer care and usage instructions, use furniture only for its intended purpose, place furniture on level flooring to prevent stress on frames and joints, tighten hardware periodically as part of normal maintenance, use coasters, placemats, and protective coverings to prevent surface damage, and clean spills immediately using appropriate non-abrasive cleaners.

Avoid standing, jumping, or sitting on furniture arms, backs, or edges, dragging furniture across floors, overloading drawers, shelves, or seating beyond intended capacity, exposing furniture to excessive heat, moisture, or direct sunlight, and using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning products. Improper care, misuse, or neglect may void warranty coverage.

Fabric Upholstery Care

Fabric upholstery should be vacuumed regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris. Spills should be blotted immediately using a clean dry cloth. Do not rub, soak, or oversaturate the fabric. Use only mild non-abrasive cleaners designed for upholstery and always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture as this may cause fading or fabric damage.

Leather Upholstery Care

Leather upholstery should be dusted regularly with a soft dry cloth. Spills should be wiped immediately. Do not allow liquids to absorb into the leather. Use only leather care products recommended by the manufacturer and do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid placing leather furniture in direct sunlight or near heat sources as this may cause drying, cracking, or fading over time.

Before You Purchase or Install

Before completing your purchase or installation, please confirm that furniture dimensions will fit through doorways, stairways, and hallways, the furniture is suitable for the intended room and usage, flooring and placement areas are level and supportive, and professional installation is selected where recommended. Customers are responsible for ensuring safe and appropriate placement after delivery or pickup.

Furniture Warranty Overview

Select furniture items are eligible for optional warranty coverage when purchased at the time of sale. Warranty availability, duration, and coverage vary by product and warranty level. Furniture sold without a purchased warranty is Final Sale and is not eligible for warranty coverage unless explicitly stated on the invoice. Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser only, located in Canada, and begins on the date of delivery or pickup.

Box Springs - Final Sale

All box springs sold by Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet are Final Sale. Box springs are not eligible for return, refund, exchange, or warranty coverage once delivered or picked up. Customers are encouraged to confirm correct size and compatibility before purchase and inspect box springs at the time of delivery or pickup. This Final Sale designation applies to all box springs including standard, low-profile, and specialty foundations.
