Furniture Care & Warranty

Our Approach to Furniture Quality and Care

At Furniture Spot & Mattress Outlet, we offer furniture selected for everyday residential use, balancing durability, comfort, and value for modern homes. As a locally operated furniture store, our approach focuses on helping customers understand how to care for their furniture and what to expect from warranty coverage before and after purchase.

Furniture is designed to perform under normal household use. Proper care, correct assembly, and appropriate placement play an important role in long-term performance. Clear care guidelines and warranty standards help ensure fair, consistent outcomes while maintaining product quality and safety.

We encourage customers to review care instructions, confirm proper fit and placement, and understand warranty coverage at the time of purchase. This approach allows us to support our local customers with transparency and consistency, while setting clear expectations around normal wear, maintenance, and eligible warranty claims.

Furniture Care Standards

Proper care is required to maintain the condition of your furniture and preserve warranty eligibility.

Furniture is designed for residential use under normal conditions. Damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, or lack of care is not considered a defect.

Recommended Care

  • Follow all manufacturer care and usage instructions

  • Use furniture only for its intended purpose

  • Place furniture on level flooring to prevent stress on frames and joints

  • Tighten hardware periodically as part of normal maintenance

  • Use coasters, placemats, and protective coverings to prevent surface damage

  • Clean spills immediately using appropriate, non-abrasive cleaners

Avoid the Following

  • Do not stand, jump, or sit on furniture arms, backs, or edges

  • Do not drag furniture across floors

  • Do not overload drawers, shelves, or seating beyond intended capacity

  • Do not expose furniture to excessive heat, moisture, or direct sunlight

  • Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaning products

Improper care, misuse, or neglect may void warranty coverage.

Fabric Upholstery Care

Fabric upholstery should be vacuumed regularly using a soft brush attachment to remove dust and debris.

Spills should be blotted immediately using a clean, dry cloth. Do not rub, soak, or oversaturate the fabric.

Use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners designed for upholstery. Always test cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first.

Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, or moisture, as this may cause fading or fabric damage.

Leather Upholstery Care

Leather upholstery should be dusted regularly with a soft, dry cloth.

Spills should be wiped immediately. Do not allow liquids to absorb into the leather.

Use only leather care products recommended by the manufacturer. Do not use harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.

Avoid placing leather furniture in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this may cause drying, cracking, or fading over time.

Before You Purchase or Install

Please confirm the following before completing your purchase or installation:

  • The furniture is suitable for the intended room and usage

  • Flooring and placement areas are level and supportive
