Furniture Timing for a September 1 Move in Halifax

The whole city changes address on the same weekend. A countdown from eight weeks out, and what to do differently if you are already inside four.

A waterproof protector will not stop bed bugs. A six-sided encasement will, but only if you understand why it has to stay zipped.

Six measurements, one of which almost nobody takes: the ceiling height above the landing turn. That is where sofas stop and deliveries fail.

Bed, then seating and a surface, then clothing storage, then stop for a month. The pieces people want first are the ones worth waiting on.
